This rare MGC Roadster is in excellent condition and retains all its original features. With its British Racing Green livery and chrome wire wheels, original black leather with white piped interior and ‘Banjo’ spoked steering wheel, it is a true British classic and offers great investment potential with prices increasing year on year.
This MGC has just enjoyed 6 years ownership by a race engineer, who has meticulously made numerous improvements to the performance and handling. Improvements include: a new clutch, differential and overdrive overhaul, new unleaded and ported cylinder head, brakes totally replaced and new servo unit, adjustable dampers front and rear, uprated rear springs, Superflex and Polybushes fitted throughout, electronic ignition and numerous other components upgraded or replaced.
The engine has only completed 13,000 miles since a full rebuild and consequently it is a pleasure to drive. The 3.0L six cylinder engine sounds amazing and is very strong with lots of torque and the 4 speed gearbox and overdrive work perfectly.
Externally, although an older restoration with a few blemishes, there is no corrosion and the ‘British Racing Green’ paintwork is in very good condition, the ‘Castle Rails’, sills and floors are all in excellent condition and weather-sealed. It has new 15” chrome wire wheels and it has recently had a new hood, folding frame and ‘Mohair’ tonneau cover.
The interior is also in excellent condition, with original specification ’crinkle’ finish dashboard, “Banjo’ steering wheel, black leather seats with white piping and all original gauges and controls. Inertia seat belts have been fitted for added safety, although the original seat belts are available if preferred.
This stunning MGC Roadster drives beautifully, looks and sounds amazing and offers the chance to own a rare and very desirable classic, which is fast appreciating in value.
