Triumph TR7 1981 - Cabriolet

Price: € 11 500

  • Year: 1981
  • Kilometers: 38,000 miles
  • Exterior: Silver Metallic
  • Interior: Blue, check
  • Engine: 2.0L
  • Transmission: 5 manual

This stunning 1981 TR7 Cabriolet is in superb condition and has only completed 38,000 miles since new. With only 3 owners it benefits from a full history file detailing every single M.O.T and every invoice from 1985.
The metallic silver paintwork is in excellent condition and was professionally repainted in 2010. The silver exterior is perfectly complemented by the dark blue vinyl and check cloth interior, which is also in excellent condition.
It is very rare to find a TR7 with such low mileage and detailed history. The previous owner was a car collector with an impressive collection of supercars including; Bentley’s and Ferrari’s. He purchased this TR7 in 2005, due to owning one when he was younger and bought the best example he could find, consequently this TR7 has enjoyed being maintained to the very highest standard.
This design classic benefits from a new ‘mohair’ folding hood and ‘Minilite’ alloy wheels, new tyres, recent clutch, major service, new springs and dampers front and rear, new stainless steel exhaust, new fuel tank and new professionally tuned carburettors. It also boasts an ‘Alpine’ sound system with 6-stack CD player and amplifier, all discreetly hidden from view and operated remotely, with the orignal Radio/Cassette player still fitted in the centre of the dashboard for authenticity.
Built in ‘Solihull’ in 1981, these 3rd generation TR7’s were very much improved, since the early ‘Speke’ built cars that were first launched in 1975. Amongst the many improvements was the addition of a 5 speed gearbox, much improved interior and far better ‘build quality’.
With the Triumph TR7 finally being recognised as a classic, prices are starting to rise, however there are very few good cars available. This stunning example offers the opportunity to invest in a classic car at a modest price and enjoy open-top driving in a 70’s design icon, that can only appreciate in value.
