ALFA ROMEO Spider Junior 1968 (LHD)

  • Year: April 1968
  • Kilometers: 69,000
  • Exterior: Rosso red
  • Interior: Black
  • Engine: 1.3L
  • Transmission: 5
  • Seats: 2

This beautiful ‘boat-tail’ 1968 Alfa Romeo Spider 1300 Junior, was fully restored in 2013 and consequently is in excellent condition throughout.
Made famous by the film 'The Graduate' starring Dustin Hoffman, these 'Pininfarina’ designed Spiders are very desirable with prices continuing to increase.
First registered in Trapani, Sicily, it remained in Italy for 30 years before being exported to California in 1998, where it stayed until 2013 having been carefully and sympathetically restored. The Alfa was then exported to England where it enjoyed 2 careful owners.
Showing only 69,000 km (which looks correct based on the history file) it retains all its original specification, with the addition of perspex headlight covers.

The paintwork is excellent as is the interior, engine bay and underside, with no corrosion (thanks to spending its life in sunny climates). It benefits from a recent 'mohair' hood, recent tyres, electronic ignition and a new S/S exhaust system, along with a full service in 2018.
The 'revvy' 1300 (103bhp) engine performs extremely well and has recently had the cylinder head renovated with new valves and guides and an unleaded conversion. The Dellorto carburetors have also been serviced and balanced, whilst receiving a 'rolling road' tune-up (data available).
It is very rare to find a genuine Italian registered 'Spider Junior' in such excellent condition. It offers a great opportunity to own a true classic that is guaranteed to continue to appreciate in value.
